Demanding Application Fields

Mission-critical industrial and compute environments engineered for sub-second pulse power and high-frequency cycling.

Robotics & Embodied AI

Robotics & Embodied AI

Joint servo start/stop demands current pulses far above average power. LICs respond in milliseconds for instant energy replenishment and sustain tens of thousands of cycles under high-frequency action.

AI Data Center

Rising compute density drives transient power spikes. The 4.0V high-power type performs millisecond peak shaving and power-loss protection on the bus, cutting backup response from seconds to milliseconds.

After power loss, key control chips must complete data write-back and state saving. LICs meet the brief high-current demand at power-down with low ESR and fast response.

4.0V / 2.7V series

Six Core Characteristics

Bridging the energy density of batteries with the instantaneous power density and wide-temperature endurance of supercapacitors.

01

Millisecond High Current

< 5 ms response; peak power governed by ESR (Pmax = V² / 4·ESR).

02

Ultra-High Power Density

≈ 12 kW/kg power density, 200C instantaneous discharge capability.

03

Ultra-Long Cycle Life

≥ 20,000 cycles @ 0.5C; ≥ 5,000 cycles at high rate; ≥ 90% capacity after 2-year static storage at 3.6V.

04

Wide-Temperature Operation

Stable discharge down to -45 °C on the 2.7V family, supported by empirical laboratory test curves.

05

Intrinsically Safe Structure

Passes UL 810A abuse tests (nail, crush, short circuit); certified UN38.3 and RoHS compliant.

06

Maintenance-Free Long Life

Design lifetimes up to 20 years, replacing lead-acid batteries and bulky EDLC supercapacitor banks.

Voltage Platforms & Cell Specifications

Select from 4.0V high-power cells, 3.6V high-energy cells, and 2.7V wide-temperature arctic cells. Detailed dimensions, internal resistance (ESR), peak pulse currents, and part numbering guidelines are tabulated below.

Measured Performance Curves & Test Reports

Empirical laboratory test curves measured on cell model HLIC1230V4R0307-P (4.0V / 300F) and cross-family temperature benchmarks. Verified under strict charge/discharge protocols to demonstrate pulse power, cycle life retention, and extreme-temperature stability.

Handling, Safety & Standard Packaging

Technical handling guidelines, mandatory safety boundaries, and export packaging specifications applicable across all 4.0V, 3.6V, and 2.7V families. Soldering profiles and packing quantities for individual parts are governed by their respective engineering datasheets.

01 Assembly & Handling Notes

  • Soldering Process: +350 °C for 4–5 s maximum with manual soldering iron; manual soldering is generally not recommended for volume production. Adhere strictly to the recommended reflow profile.
  • PCB Cleaning: Avoid board-level aqueous/solvent washing. If cleaning is unavoidable, verify solvent chemical compatibility with the aluminium case and rubber sealing plug beforehand.
  • Lead Polarity: Radial pins are polarized — the longer lead is Positive (+). Verify PCB silkscreen alignment and polarity markings prior to automated insertion.
  • Handling Rules: Zero reverse voltage, zero overvoltage, no mechanical lead bending without proper jig support, and no disassembly.

02 Mandatory Safety Boundaries

  • Intrinsic Safety: Lithium-ion capacitor chemistry is inherently non-volatile and does not exhibit classic thermal runaway under UL 810A testing.
  • Voltage Safeguards: Strictly operate within rated upper working voltage (e.g. 4.0V max); never exceed specified peak surge voltages under dynamic transient spikes.
  • Thermal Limits: Deploy strictly within datasheet operating temperatures; isolate cells from adjacent power semiconductor heat sinks.
  • Storage Protocols: Store in a cool, dry room environment (<30°C, <60% RH). For long-term warehousing (>6 months), maintain cells within the recommended storage voltage range.

03 Packaging & Logistics Standards

  • Standard Bulk Packing: Radial cells bulk packaged in moisture-proof anti-static bags. Ø4–10 mm: 2,400 pcs/bag; Ø12–24 mm: packaged per specific cell diameter.
  • SMT Reel / Tray Options: Tape & reel, extruded tube, or customized thermoformed trays available on request to interface directly with customer pick-and-place lines.
  • Laser Product Marking: High-contrast laser/ink marking indicates manufacturer, capacitance (F), voltage (V), part model, and polarity indication.
  • International Shipping: Certified UN38.3 non-hazardous cargo compliance; shipped globally with Dangerous Goods / Air Transport Appraisal reports and MSDS.
